Vetting Process
At Shey Dance Studios, we are committed to maintaining high standards and delivering exceptional dance services. To achieve this, we have implemented a rigorous vetting process for our tutors. Here’s what we require from our tutors to ensure the utmost quality and professionalism
- Training:
We require our tutors to hold a dance qualification from a university, college or IDTA certification. This ensures we work with tutors that possess the necessary knowledge and expertise in their respective dance disciplines.
- Teaching Experience:
To provide students with the best learning experience, we require tutors to have a minimum of 1 year of teaching experience. This ensures that our tutors have practical experience in effectively instructing and guiding students in their dance journey.
- Background Checks:
Particularly relevant for kids dance classes, we conduct thorough background checks on all our tutors. This includes checking for any criminal records or misconduct that may pose a risk to our students. .
- Continuing improvement:
We collect regular feedback from clients and students to ensure that client’s needs are met, and quality of work is up to par. .

Notes
All teachers will need to be verified by a 3rd party payment provider such as stripe and send in a quick video introduction
Different tiers of verification
- Tier 1 – confirmation of formal training either via qualification or social proof of dance training
- Tier 2 – confirmation of formal training via qualifications + Liability insurance
- Tier 3 – will need to upload a valid DBS check + confirmation of formal training either via qualifications + Liability insurance
Will be required of the following classes
- Kids Dance Classes – Tier 3 Required
- Adult Dance classes – Tier 1 Minimum
- 121 classes & Private Events – Tier 1 minimum. “If there are one or more dancers required for this job, I as the lead instructor/dancer will take responsibility for and coordinate others”
- Corporate Events – Tier 2 Minimum – “If there are one or more dancers required for this job, I as the lead instructor/dancer will take responsibility for and coordinate others”
